Halloween weekend started with our ward's Trunk or Treat. This year, Bailey was a skunk and Alayna was a cat. KR and I pulled out some last minute costumes and went as a police officer and a convict. As you can tell from the pictures, Bailey was a little nervous at first about seeing so many people in costume. The evening was lots of fun, and by the time Bailey started collecting candy, she was thrilled!
The next afternoon, we had a Halloween party at Papa & Grandma Kirkendall's house with all the fam. They went to a lot of work to put together a fun time. The kids did some cookie-decorating, bobbed for apples, caught doughnuts on a string, did a cupcake walk and a pinata. And of course we all enjoyed some yummy Halloween-themed food!
The cousins' turn. And yes, KR did get whacked in the stomach with the stick at one point!
Bailey couldn't get the candy in her mouth fast enough. She was ready to eat it with the wrapper on I'm sure.
Bailey loves being with her cousins but chose to play on the slide instead of do the cupcake walk with everyone. Crazy girl. She would swing and slide all day if we'd let her.
Halloween day the girls and I "decorated" pumpkins. Maybe we'll get around to actually carving our big one later.
That night, the girls dressed up in their costumes again and we met up with some of their cousins for the main event...Trick or Treating!
Bailey tried to walk inside the first few houses after they gave her candy. It was pretty funny.
Bailey rode in style from house to house. Towards the end of the night she got pretty hyper and was running down the sidewalk.
The Loot. More than half of which has already been eaten by mom and dad. Not sure how many years we can get away with that.
