More Daddy-Daughter Videos

Here is a second video I wanted to post on Father's Day. I've been trying for over a week to get a third one to load as well, but it keeps jamming up!

This is KR beat box dancing with Bailey. Gotta love the look on her face!

Father's Day

Happy 1st Father's Day KR!

Everyone says she looks just like her dad!

This is how Bailey got her nickname, "BUG" (above)

Bailey couldn't be more in love with her daddy. She just lights up when she sees or hears him and he gets more smiles, coos, and giggles out of her than anyone else! She loves to nap with him, dance with him, play with him, hang out on the couch with him, and try to join in when he's singing to her. He is such a great dad and loves every minute of it. We have been very blessed that KR has had these last few months "off" to spend so much time at home with us. Here is a candid video of KR studying his helicopter stuff with Bailey. Priceless!

And stay tuned for more videos!

Happy (late) Father's Day to all our Dads and Grandpas! We love you!

Flashback

So now that it has been exactly one year since I've been in Alabama with KR, I thought I would finally post the pictures of and blurbs about my move here that I never got around to doing. Since KR was in the middle of training the last 3 weeks before I moved out, he was unable to come help (or even communicate with me which made things pretty hard). Luckily, I had a lot of help from family to pack up and move. My mom, dad, grandma, Margene, and KR's family all helped out a lot with the packing and cleaning in the weeks before I left.

Trying to get the LoveSac into a box-a task that proved impossible!

A bull snake I found in the driveway. Simon was intrigued.
My Dad came back and made the trip with me cross country. We had so much fun I must say! It was a little interesting traveling with two cats in the cab of a 26ft moving truck pulling my car. Honestly my Dad by far did the majority of the driving and I was so thankful for him being there with me! I couldn't have done it by myself! (The flat highways in Nebraska were easy, but I would have been freaking out if I had been the one behind the wheel driving that thing during the thunderstorm that night on the crazy highways near St.Louis for example-I was scared enough in the passenger seat!) Thanks again Dad! We made a few stops along the way-Salt Lake, Cheyenne, Kansas City, Nashville-and arrived here in Enterprise on the 5th day just in time for KR and I to sign on our house.

We love you and miss you Ike! (Ike passed away on Bailey's birthday 4-14-09)
I wouldn't say they enjoyed it whatsoever, but the cats proved to be pretty good travelers.
Brother was still recovering from his hospital stay the week before we left, and we had to give him IV fluids every day of the trip along with special food and medicine he hated. He spent most of the trip on our laps. We almost lost Simon at a rest stop late one night in the middle of nowhere when both cats broke free from their harnesses and he darted into the woods. Other than that, he spent most of the trip under the seat in the truck, or under the bed at the hotels. They both learned to use a makeshift litter box on my lap while driving, and I think we only had one accident. Anyway, it was an adventure!

Our House
Just kidding!

(This is just a picture of one of the beautiful plantation type homes that dot the green Alabama countryside!)

These are a few pictures of our townhouse from when we moved in.
We love having the woods in our backyard. It was definitely a new thing for the cats. We would take walks through the woods and they follow me like dogs.

Of course there are a lot of critters around that we didn't see in Idaho.
