When my mom called and said she would be coming the week of Halloween for a visit, I was jumping for joy. Of course I would welcome a visit from her anytime, but I had an especially busy week and more activities and commitments going on than usual and could really use her help since KR was still gone. (And not to mention that my mom is extra fun at Halloween!)
We got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Lasater for a short time too when they drove my mom over from where she was visiting them in Utah. Bailey had a blast painting with them.
We attended the Boise Temple Open House. The girls did pretty good- we had to keep shoving candy in Alayna's mouth to keep her happy and quiet during the tour, and Bailey really took it all in which was precious.
And it was a beautiful day!
Next came our ward Trunk or Treat. We went as a band of pirates. AARRRRRRGH!
My mom and I had some good times trying to piece our costumes together the night before. Here are my mom's best looks! We got pretty silly the later it got.
Unfortunately I didn't get a great shot of my mom's final outfit on the day of the Trunk or Treat. She really went all out and even had towels taped to her arms under her shirt to make her look buffer. Go mom!

For the next two days, I was able to volunteer as an usher for the open house and carpool and work with these fine ladies!

It was a great experience and we topped it off with some Cafe Rio lunch after our last shift!
On Halloween, Bailey and Nonna decorated and carved pumpkins.
And on to trick or treating! We changed it up and Bailey wanted to be Snow White and Alayna made the cutest skunk ever.
Thank you for all your help and fun that week mom, it was really a blessing. We wish you could have stayed longer!
