A Visit from Nonna

When my mom called and said she would be coming the week of Halloween for a visit, I was jumping for joy. Of course I would welcome a visit from her anytime, but I had an especially busy week and more activities and commitments going on than usual and could really use her help since KR was still gone. (And not to mention that my mom is extra fun at Halloween!)

We got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Lasater for a short time too when they drove my mom over from where she was visiting them in Utah. Bailey had a blast painting with them.

We attended the Boise Temple Open House. The girls did pretty good- we had to keep shoving candy in Alayna's mouth to keep her happy and quiet during the tour, and Bailey really took it all in which was precious.

And it was a beautiful day!

Next came our ward Trunk or Treat. We went as a band of pirates. AARRRRRRGH!

My mom and I had some good times trying to piece our costumes together the night before. Here are my mom's best looks! We got pretty silly the later it got.

Unfortunately I didn't get a great shot of my mom's final outfit on the day of the Trunk or Treat. She really went all out and even had towels taped to her arms under her shirt to make her look buffer. Go mom!

For the next two days, I was able to volunteer as an usher for the open house and carpool and work with these fine ladies!

It was a great experience and we topped it off with some Cafe Rio lunch after our last shift!

On Halloween, Bailey and Nonna decorated and carved pumpkins.

And on to trick or treating! We changed it up and Bailey wanted to be Snow White and Alayna made the cutest skunk ever.

Thank you for all your help and fun that week mom, it was really a blessing. We wish you could have stayed longer!

Look- I Blogged!

This past weekend Bailey and I went on a Mommy-Daughter date to Disney on Ice! It was sort of a last minute surprise for Bailey and she was so excited.

Bailey says her favorite part was watching the princesses dance with the princes at the ball.

My favorite part besided seeing Bailey have fun of course, was watching this horse skate around and the flying acrobatic tricks of Rapunzel and Flynn :)

She was also pretty thrilled to be at BSU and have her picture taken with a Bronco. We polished off the night with some ice cream! (since I was not going to pay $12 for cotton candy at the show- GHEESH!)

One Year Old

Alayna celebrated her "Golden" Birthday the other day (1 on the 1st :)) A year sure flew by!

Some pictures from her celebration that night...

I'm afraid Alayna's crazy hair days are coming to an end. It's starting to get too long on top to stick up, and instead flops to the side and into her eyes. Here are some of the last great pictures I captured of her famous stick-ee-up-ee hair.

Peek-a-boo!
